Make your first film on Rush
Go from an idea to a reviewed first cut, one clear decision at a time.
Start with a focused brief
Choose Create Film or New film. Describe the main character, what they want, where the story happens and what changes by the end. A single scene is a useful first project: you can learn the workflow before committing to a longer film.
A night-shift nurse finds a letter in an empty hospital room. She must decide whether to open it before the patient returns.
Set up and review
Choose the format, runtime, language, setting, aspect ratio and available models. Add an existing script or reference media if you have them. Check the credit estimate before starting.
- Review the script and scene structure before shooting.
- Check the cast, locations, wardrobe and props prepared for the story.
- Approve the required stages, then follow shot preparation in the production.
- Watch each finished shot and make focused corrections.
Finish the film
Use the production preview to review the story from beginning to end. Open RushCut when you want to adjust timing, transitions, sound or captions. Export and watch the actual exported file before sharing it. Check the opening, the ending and any dialogue that crosses a cut. Publishing to Rush Watch is a separate submission and review process.
