Build an edit in RushCut

Turn your available clips into a clear sequence and review the full film.

Open or create a project

Send a production’s cut into RushCut or start a RushCut project. Choose available media and the intended frame. Your plan controls which uploaded or generated media you can use and which export options are available. Review the project settings before building a long edit.

Shape the sequence

Add clips to the timeline in story order. Select a clip to use the available trim, split and timing controls. Remove unnecessary pauses, but leave enough time for reactions and dialogue. Zoom the timeline to make precise adjustments and check the playhead position before editing.

Review from the audience’s perspective

Play across every cut, not just inside individual clips. Check movement direction, sound continuity and the rhythm of the scene. Save or wait for the save status to confirm your changes before leaving. Export only after checking the complete sequence.
