Review, select and regenerate a shot

Compare takes and create a replacement when a shot needs a broader change.

Review the whole take

Open the shot and watch from beginning to end with sound. Look for character identity, wardrobe, prop placement, eyelines, movement and dialogue timing. Use the scene context to judge whether the shot belongs with the takes around it. A single attractive frame is not enough to approve a moving shot.

Regenerate with a deliberate change

Use Regenerate when you want another take or a substantial change of direction. Review the prompt, model, duration and references in the dialog. Add or replace references with the + control where offered, and remove material that conflicts with the new direction. Read the current estimate before accepting the new generation.

Choose the result the film should use

After processing finishes, compare the new take with the previous version and confirm the selected result. Check the assembled preview as well as the individual shot. Refix is useful for a focused correction; regenerating the entire shot is often more appropriate when the action or composition needs to change substantially.
