Refix a shot with instructions and media
Describe a focused correction, attach references and check the full replacement take.
State the correction directly
Open the shot, choose Refix and describe the exact visible or audible problem. Explain the replacement behaviour and what must remain unchanged. Avoid repeating the original request without identifying the error. If the correction depends on a moment in the clip, describe its timing and the action around it.
After the woman puts down the cup, keep both hands on the table. Remove the extra hand near her shoulder. Keep her face, wardrobe, dialogue and the existing camera angle.
Add media that explains the fix
Use the + control in Refix to open the reference picker. Choose or upload the relevant media, then explain what each reference controls. A wardrobe image should guide clothing; it should not silently replace the character’s identity. Confirm the attached files and review the quote before starting.
Check whether the correction worked
When the new take is ready, watch the problem moment and the rest of the clip. If the same issue remains, tighten the instruction or remove competing references before trying again. For a different action, a new camera setup or a complete performance change, use Regenerate instead. A new take may be billable even when you prefer an earlier result.
