Create consistent characters and cast actors
Establish identity and performance references before directing repeated appearances.
Establish the character
Use Cast to create or select the people in the story. Choose clear identity references and give characters distinct names. Describe stable features separately from scene-specific details such as clothing, emotion and injury. Review prepared character references before allowing them to guide the production.
Cast from the actor marketplace
Browse the actor’s profile, available material and permitted uses. Review the licence and displayed cost before accepting a casting action. A marketplace actor’s permissions are specific to the licence; using an actor in one production does not automatically grant every future use.
Review continuity across shots
Compare the same character across close-ups, wider shots and different locations. Check face, hair, age, voice and wardrobe. If one shot drifts, correct that shot’s reference selection rather than changing the entire character unnecessarily. A photo shown within a scene and an on-screen performing character need different directions.
