Prepare a public preview

Make your film understandable and discoverable without confusing a preview with Watch availability.

  • Choose clear artwork and a synopsis
  • Understand curated Home, Explore and hero placement

Make the invitation honest

Choose artwork that represents the film and a title people can recognise. Write a short synopsis around the premise and its tension without explaining every turn. A thumbnail should read at a small size; an indistinct dark frame is unlikely to communicate the story.

Check that your name, credits and permissions are accurate before submitting public material. Publishing makes the selected film details and media visible to others. Keep private source material out of a public release unless you have deliberately chosen and have the rights to share it.

Understand where the film appears

Home and Explore previews help people discover films. Placement and home-page hero selection are managed through Rush’s review and curation controls; submission does not guarantee a particular position. Only landscape films are eligible for featured placement.

A preview is not the same as an approved Rush Watch release. A Watch action is shown for films of at least five minutes that are actually available in Rush Watch. A short preview can play through without being a Watch title. Check the public film page after publication and report missing or incorrect details with the film link.

Put it into practice

Draft a title, a two-sentence synopsis and an artwork brief for your film. Identify which public details a viewer needs before deciding to play it.

  • The artwork and synopsis represent the actual film
  • You distinguish preview placement from Watch approval
